Course Objective

In this course; the aim is to learn basic techniques to students in biochemistry laboratory.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Analyze quantitatively glucose, pyruvate, vitamin C and storage polysaccharide determination in different samples and evaluate the results.
2   Perform enzymatic synthesis and characterization of the Glucose-1-phosphate from starch and discuss the results.
3   Plan experimental steps required for enzymatic synthesis of linear starch, apply and evaluate the results.
4   Plan experimental steps required for cholesterol determination, apply and evaluate the results.
5   Determine lipid peroxidation and evaluate the results.
6   Plan experimental steps to determine urea in urine, apply and discuss the results.
