Course Objective

Having fundamental concepts and institutions ascertained, the meaning of elections in democracies is appraised and having fundamental principles, rules and institutions of election ascertained

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to clarify democracy, the concept of election and the relation between them
2   To be able to interpret fundamental principles of election.
3   To be able to evaluate fundamental institutions of election law.
4   To be able to classify electoral systems
5   To be able to analyze the rules about the administration and supervision of elections
6   To be able to discuss main issues within the frame of juridical decisions and the decisions of Supreme Election Board
