Course Objective

The objective of this course is to introduce the main concepts of Turkish nationality of law by giving information about to be admitted to Turkish nationality and to become divested of Turkish nationality.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To express the conceps of law of nationality
2   To interpret the rules of law of nationality
3   To express the intrest of law of nationality to other law branches
4   To explain the clauses of admitting to Turkish nationality and the causes of becoming divested of Turkish nationality
5   To introduce the rights belong to the concept of Turkish nationality

1 General information about the object and the content of the course; giving information about the method and the plan of teaching; suggesting the metarials in respect of the course
2 Development of Turkish Citizenship Law and Its Sources
3 General principles of Citizenship Law
4 Applicable law to identify the nationality, multiplenationality and heimatloss
5 The principles of Turkish law of nationality: Nationality by birth, jure sanguinis and jure soli
6 Ways of gaining Turkish nationality: gaining under process of law
7 Admitting Turkish nationality by the decision of competent authority
8 To become divested of Turkish nationality
9 Becoming divested of Turkish nationality by choosing another state's nationality
10 To deprive of Turkish nationality
11 Withdrawal of Nationality
12 To become divested of Turkish nationality
13 The proof of Turkish nationality and taking legal action
14 Exam
