Course Objective

To raise individuals who are open to discussion and able to accept that religion can be
criticised So, they can sustain a religion and a modern faith that is compatible with
science, rational and able to provide to happiness of a enlightened and thinking
society.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Student, at the end of the semester, will be able to differentiate the prejudgements that prevent thinking straight, and the things whether they are related to religion by getting know them.
2   Will get know the classical and modern literature; and get information about the history of philosophy of religion.
3   Will be able to study philosophically on religious texts and state modern comments about them.
4   Through the understanding the nature of religion they will be able to grasp the inner and conscience s dimensions of it.
5   Will be able to understand the nature of some views that enrich the religious thought, such as pluralism etc.

1 Analyses of the terms: Philosophy, Religion, Systematic Philosophy, Philosophy of Religioni Religious Philosophy and Theology (Kalam)
2 The relation of Philosophy of Religion with Religious Sciences
3 Main features of philosophical and religious thoughts
4 The terms: conception, endorsement and imagination
5 Epistemological Problems: Nature of believing and faith; The relations of faith-knowledge, faith-belief, belief-knowledge
6 The problem of Revelation: the nature, language and understanding of revelation and its relation to the culture
7 The terms: true, truth, and reasonable and the problem of miracles.
8 Mid-term Exam
9 Discussions on Religious Language; God-Talk.
10 Metaphysical Problems: Attribution-Being Attributed relation and the problem of attribution.
11 What kind of existence is God The term of Godness and main concepts of God.
12 Cosmological Problems: God-Human Relation, God-Universe Relation.
13 Evidence and the logic of Evidency; The place and value of Evidence in Religion
14 The place and value of Reason in Religion; Religion of Reason and Religion of Evidence.
