Course Objective

To raise individuals who are open to discussion and able to accept that religion can be
criticised So, they can sustain a religion and a modern faith that is compatible with
science, rational and able to provide to happiness of a enlightened and thinking
society.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Student, at the end of the semester, will be able to differentiate the prejudgements that prevent thinking straight, and the things whether they are related to religion by getting know them.
2   Will get know the classical and modern literature; and get information about the history of philosophy of religion.
3   Will be able to study philosophically on religious texts and state modern comments about them.
4   Through the understanding the nature of religion they will be able to grasp the inner and conscience's dimensions of it.
5   Will be able to understand the nature of some views that enrich the religious thought, such as pluralism etc.

1 Main Evidences: Ontological evidence, cosmological evidence, teleological evidence, the evidence of religious experience, Evidence of Evil.
2 The discussions of Evil and Atheism.
3 Ethical and Moral Problems.
4 The analysis of the terms: Will and Act.
5 Free Will (freedom of human being); the Problem of Qadha and Qadar.
6 Ethic - Sharia, Fıqh and Mysticism relation.
7 Mystical understanding of Religion and Worldview.
8 Mid-term Exam
9 The Nature of Soul; Afterlife, and Immortality problem.
10 Pragmatism and Religion: The Pragmatical side of Amali Life.
11 Pluralism and Plurality; the relaiton of Pluralism-Dialog-Irshad.
12 The Relation of Religion to Science, Culture and Morality.
13 Religion - Art relation and the place of art in religion.
14 Religion and Politics relation: religious duties and political duties of Prophet.
