Course Objective

Between the dates 610-660, to show the phases through the formation of the texts of Koran from an objective perspective.
Determining the issues appearing during this process and seeking solutions to those issues.
To establish an accurate concept about the history of the Qur'an.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Those who are interested in the subject will see the formation phases of the Qur'anic text more clearly.
2   They will learn about the events occurred in a more concrete way.
3   They will perceive all details about the issues in their minds and their solutions.
4   They will be able to criticize the topic in a better way.
5   They will perceive the causes of the events apperaing in this process

2 The Commencement of writing the manuscripts of the Qur'an
3 Materials used in writing the Qur'an
4 The institution of revelation clerkship and the problem of Revelation clerks mistakes.
5 Preservation of the Quran
6 The presentation and its nature
7 Preservation of the written texts in Mecca and Medina
8 Midterm Exam
9 The reasons of why the Qur an was not formed as a book during the period of the Prophet
10 The importance of Sahabah (companions of the Prophet) in preservation of the Quran during the Prophet s period
11 Recitation of the Qur'an during the Prophet
12 The stuation of the Qur an after the prophet
13 The period of Ebu Bekr
14 The period of Osman and Ali
15 Final Exam
