Course Objective

To encourage the student to read and study the basic texts of Abrahamic religions; thus to give ability of learning common beliefs, ideas and controversial topics as well.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Learn the primary and secondary texts of Judaism
2   Learn the primary and secondary scriptures of Christianity
3   Learn the primary and secondary texts of Islam
4   Have knowledge of similar and controversial topics of religious texts
5   Learn the changing character of interpretations according to political and cultural view points

7 Examples from the texts: Abraham and his migrations

9 Examples from the texts: Stories of Jacob and Joseph
