Course Objective

The aim of the course is to provide students the general methods on how to use Qur anic verses and hadiths in religious education.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To learn how to find verses in the sources. 2   To learn how to find verses in the sources. 3   To grasp understanding frames for explanation them in today s terms and conditions. 4   To aquire information about principles and methods used when these text is taught the students. 5   To use effectively his/her available information when he/she interpret the religious texts.

Week Subject Description 1 The problem of method in religious teaching 2 The principles in in religious teaching 3 How to find a theme in the Qur an. 4 How to find a theme in the Hadiths. 5 Utilization of Qur anic verses and hadiths: Understanding Frames 6 Understanding Frame I : Human Psychology 7 Studying on examples. 8 Mid-term Exam 9 Understanding Frame II : The General Objective of Religion/Islam 10 Studying on examples. 11 Understanding Frame III :Moral Cause and Effect Relationship 12 Studying on examples. 13 Understanding Frame IV : World view 14 Studying on examples.
