Course Objective

To teach the value and significance of major religions in modern world; to point out their impacts on international peace and conflicts.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Become aware of the pluralistic nature of interreligious relations and dialogue
2   Learn the meaning of key concepts related with the subject
3   Percieve the effects of the religious text on interreligious dialogue and peace efforts
4   Learn the effects of political and cultural factors on interreligious adventures
5   Learn whether interreligious dialogue is a new version of Evangelism

3 Second Vatican Council and Interreligious Dialogue
4 Basic Principals of Interreligious Dialogue
5 Is Dialogue a new version of Evangelism Suspicions on dialogue efforts
6 Islam and other religions: Religious arguments and problems
7 Islam and other religions: Historical development

9 Islamic Refutations (Reddiyeler) and their basic subjects
