Course Objective

To make clear the situation of Muslim-Christian relations and their point of view to common problems of humanity, to discuss the possibility of reimplementation of cohabitation experienced successfully in history, to gain knowledge about the roots of the problems these faced by the followers of these religions in political and social spheres and to try solution to these problems, and to make true comments on some issues experienced by the followers of these religions

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Will have common knowledge on the relations of Muslims and Christians since the first time they met;
2   Will learn the new thoughts on the solutions to the problems which appear recently and are transferred from the past;
3   Will discuss the possibility of cohabitation by learning the process of Muslim-Christian relations;
4   Will gain knowledge about the Muslims living in Christian countries and the Christians living in Muslim countries;
5   Will know the organizations playing role in the studies of inter-religious dialogue by evaluating the aims of these studies.
