Course Objective

1. to know and learn the values and products of Islamic Civilization founded and developed in order both to meet the needs of individuals and to establish a better life opportunities of Islamic societies, and to apply the orders and prohibitions of religion,
2. to follow up the functions of political, administrative, military, economic, social, scientific, cultural, and religious institutions emerged within in the Islamic Civilization and their historical developments; and to analyze the reasons of its successes and failures,
3. to specify the status and contributions of Islamic Civilization in world civilizations,
4. to predict about the future of Islamic Civilization by evaluating its current situation in face of other civilizations.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   the concepts of culture and civilization , the relationship of culture and civilization, the sources of Islamic Civilization and its historical development and reaction with other civilizations;
2   the political and administrative institutions of Islamic societies and their social, administrative, economic, and military structures;
3   Islamic developments and contributions to the areas in scientific, philosophic, and religious thoughts.
4   Scientific, philosophical and religious thought and evaluation of information about developments in the field and the ability to make contributions to the winner.
5   Learn the basic dynamics of Islamic civilization and its institutions.
