Course Objective

To teach research methods in social sciences, especially in sociology, and to show how to conduct a sociological research.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students will understand philosophical background of research methods in social sciences.
2   They will learn quantitative methods in sociology.
3   They will learn qualitative methods in sociology.
4   They will compare differences between a quantitative and a qualitative research in sociology.
5   They will practice how to conduct a sociological research.
