Course Objective

To get acknowledge on the disciplines of Sirah and Magazi, and their sources.
To learn the emergence of Sirah discipline, its definition and methodology.
To have information about the problems of Sirah faced since the emergence.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Will get knowledge on the sources of Islamic history, the social, religious and cultural life of the pre-Islamic Arabs, early life of Muhammad, the revelation, and the activities of calling for Islam
2   Will gain information on the early Muslims and their problems, and the crucial events of the Meccan period.
3   Will truly know Hegira (the migration) and the important events of Medinan period and the campaigns and expeditions of the Prophet Muhammad.
4   Will be able to evaluate the conditions of Muslims and their relations between neighbor countries and tribes in terms of social, cultural and political dimensions eithin the framework of Islamic extension.
5   Will comprehend the Prophet Muhammad s life, personality, and his contributions to history of mankind; thus be able to explicate and lecture.
