Course Objective

To show the elements differentiating and corresponding in Islamic arts; to make definition of ornament; to analyze the ornament motives from architecture to small objects in the framework of form and meaning.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   will be able to interpret the notions of arts and Islamic arts.
2   Will gain ability of explaining the factors having role in the formation of arts.
3   Will have knowledge on the works of early Islamic arts and architecture.
4   Will learn the value and importance of ornaments in architecture.
5   Will have a common knowledge on decoration and other decorative arts.
