Course Objective

To provide the ability to develop approaches to social issues in the frame of human rights and democratic values at both individual and society levels, awareness to social issues, cooperation, solidarity, teamwork and the ability to develop and manage a project.

Course Contents

1 Basic concepts of social responsibility, history of social responsibility, models and approaches. Project presentation
2 Social issues at global, national and regional levels Project presentation
3 Determining social problem areas, target group, project groups, and project management. Project presentation
4 Volunteering, conscience and ethic Project presentation
5 Children and youth: Children rights, child abuse, working children, destitute children, sick children, drug abuse etc Project presentation
6 Elderly people: Elderly people quality of life, elder rights, violence against elderly people, poor elders etc. Project presentation
7 Women: Women rights, violence against women, women and working life etc. Project presentation
8 Disabled people: Disabled rights, disability abuse, disabled people and working life etc Project presentation
9 Environment: Environment problems, nature conversation, environment ethics, environmental risks etc. Project presentation
10 Disaster: Interest groups in disasters, aid and donation mechanisms etc. Project presentation
11 Discrimination: Gender, age, immigrants, refugees, minorities etc. Project presentation
