Course Objective

This course covers analysing foreign trade policy, completing real trade issues and analysing international monetary issues, and analysing Turkey s foreign trade policy, exchange rate policies and current account deficit.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to explain foreign trade policy tools affecting countries foreign trade structure.
2   To be able to compare wealth effects of alternative foreign trade policies.
3   To be able to discuss under which conditions Turkey apply policy tools by considering international trade agreements and economic integrations.
4   To be able to analyze Turkey s current account deficit and its causes.
5   To be able to put forward the factors affecting exchange rates.
6   To be able to discuss the effects of different exchange rate policies.
