Course Objective

The aim of this course is to assess the economic and political power relations and the main trends in the economic history of the world from first age to the 21st century.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   to be able to evaluate the interaction and the connection between economics and history sciences. 2   to be able to explain first age and middle age economies which are shaped with agricultural revolution and agricultural structure. 3   to be able to explain the stages of economic development in Europe. 4   to be able to analyze decline of Asia and increase of Europe in economic perspective and the reason of socio-economic power shift globally. 5   to be able to analyze the institutions and events which have role in evolution of world economy. 6   to be able to analyze today s economy in connection with historical roots.
