Course Objective

The aim of this course is to explain the concepts and theories in economics with the basis of the basic philosophy principles and philosophy of science methods and evaluate science of economics from the perspectives objectivity of science and subjectivity of society.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   to be able to have basic knowledge of philosophy and explain principles of philosophy.
2   to be able to explain the basic concepts and thinking methods in philosophy of science.
3   to be able to assess the concept of ideology and fundamental ideologies particularly economic aspects.
4   to be able to describe ways of thinking and social science disciplines other than economics.
5   to be able to evaluate of the socio-economic conditions which gıve bırth to the economic concepts and theories.
6   to be able to interrogate the economic concepts and theories from ideological and scientific points of view.
7   to be able to evaluate the linkages between economic and social sciences.
