Course Objective

The general objective of this course is to make student have information about the family law, law of persons, property law.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to explain the preliminary provisions of Turkish Civil Code.
2   Being able to explain the capacity to acquire rights and beginning and end of personality.
3   Being able to classify legal persons by their legal capacity .
4   Being able to explain legal persons and beginning and end of their personality.
5   Being able to ascertain the conditions for a valid marriage, general legal effects of marriage, dissolution of a marriage and its legal consequences.
6   Being able to explain the types of real rights.
7   Being able to explain the possession and means of protection of possession.

4 Natural Persons: Beginning and End of Personality, Capacity to Acquire Rights, Capacity to Act
5 The Kinship, the Domicile, Protection of Personality, Name and Protection of the Name, Register of Births - Deaths and Marriages
6 Legal Person: Beginning and End of Personality, Capacity to Acquire Rights, Capacity to Act, Associations, Foundations
7 Family Law: Engagement (the Legal Nature, Conditions for a Valid Engagement, Legal Effects of Engagement, End of Engagement)

Lectures of Instructor about relevant week. Current topics, which are related civil law, are discussed. Practices which based on fictional events are made.
