Course Objective

The objective of this course is to introduce students to effective verbal and non-verbal communication strategies and help them develop effective writing, reading, speaking and listening skills in English.

1   Ability to get the gist of the lecture and take effective notes
2   Ability to identify the main points and analyze the view and the tone of the text
3   Ability to write (e.g. a paragraph, an essay) coherently
4   Ability to initiate and carry on a conversation, discussion or debate on different subjects
