Course Objective

To inform civil engineering bachelor s degree students technical, social and legal aspects in the process of urbanism and city planning and local implementation of universal development.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To remember the concepts of geography, social structure and economic structure
2   To describe types and characteristics of the traditional historical process of settlement.
3   To distinguish city planning subject between, civil engineering and other disciplines to understand
4   City planning process and its application.
5   To determine city planning and the work process competencies to expertise
6   To decide suitability of public administration, planning and zoning law.

1 Human settlements, cities, asset, spatial definition, the natural environment, human elements and concepts of artificial environment,
2 Urban settlements and types
3 Urban Planning at historical modern duration and its properties
4 Spatial urbanization, conceptual urbanization, sociological urbanization
5 Urbanism information area and relations table
6 Analysis of urbanization common information area and spatial approach
7 The process of urbanization, types and their relations with each other
8 Relation of urbanization with civil engineering and its sub-branches
9 General duration of city planning , basic variables in the process of duration defining.
10 MIDTERM EXAM
11 City planning and editing process, examining their relationships with each other
12 Identify key variables on the definition of city planning process
13 Planning and zoning law and public management concepts
14 The use of law concepts at urban planning
