Course Objective

The course objectives are to describe the basic hydrologic and hydraulic approaches to design water supply and sewage systems and enforce the students to plan, and to design infrastructural systems.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Introduce the components of the dams
2   Emphasise the hydraulics of the upstream/downstram dams, diversion tunnels, spillways, water intakes, etc.
3   Planning and design of the upstream/downstram dams, diversion tunnels, spillways, water intakes, etc.
4   Planning and design of the dam body for earthfill and gravity dams
5   Planning and design of the dam foundations for earthfill and gravity dams
