Course Objective |
Within the context of this course, it is aimed to teach methods which are used in flood control operations. Structural and non-structural flood control methods will be covered in full detail and relevant information about national and international practices of flood control will be demonstrated. The students will also be informed about the practices modified to assess today s changing climatic conditions. |

Attendance/active participation to the lecture is assessed. Guidelines for preparing reports from homework assignments is distributed at the start of lecture and the homeworks will be asked in due format. |
