Course Objective

Inference, in the form of estimates, decisions, and predictions, plays a vital role in everyday life and in
organized research. In many cases, a knowledge of statistics will allow a quantitative assessment of the
risk involved with each inference and, hence, improve the basic knowledge of inference-making procedures
for undergraduates with diverse academic backgrounds. The course is designed as both a terminal course
for those not likely to be intimately involved in research in their academic fields and as an introductory
course for those who are.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to define fundamental statistical subject
2   To be able to obtain real data intended in the research
3   To be able to summarize obtained data using the graphical methods
4   To be able to use statistical analysis methods
5   To be able to use probability methods
6   To be able to determine the best statistical analysis method for the data
