Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide the student to define and calculate transmission system and design ability.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   At the end of the course it is expected that the student will be able to describe a transmission system and classify for transmission materials
2   At the end of the course it is expected that the student will be able to compare transmission systems
3   At the end of the course it is expected that the student will be able to display, calculate and draw structural parameters of different transmission systems.
4   At the end of the course it is expected that the student will be able to determination and analysis systems for different transmission materials
5   At the end of the course it is expected that the student will be able to calculate mechanisms for analyzed transmission system.

1 General information about the transmission systems
2 Examination of rope and chain structures from transmission system elements
3 Examination of constructions for reel and reel systems
4 Examination of hook and drum structures
5 Scoops and its different constructions
6 Examination of brakes used in transmission systems
7 First Mid-Term exam
8 General calculation principles and classify of transmission machines
9 Rubber band, steel band and wire band transmission systems, calculation methods and to examination their designs
10 Calculation of membered band and scraper transmission systems, examination of their designs
11 Examination of lifts and circulating transmission systems
12 Examination of dragging chain transmission systems
13 Examination of stranded boat forwarders, spiral forwarders and roller transmission systems
14 Examination of pneumatic transmission systems

There are two mid-term exams and it observe that each one of them are 25 percent and final exam is 50 percent.
