Course Objective

It is expected that students will learn the strength of machine elements in new designs, fundamentals of the machine elements, importance of standarts and tolerances, the calculation, design and use of machine elements.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   At the end of the course it is expected that the student will be able to classify machine elements by taking account of transmission princible for force and force pair.
2   At the end of the course it is expected that the student will be able to solve machine design problems with strength and material knowledges.
3   At the end of the course it is expected that the student will be able to use standards to choose of machine elements, determine standards at the design of machine elements.
4   At the end of the course it is expected that the student will be able to to learn and classify machine elements.
5   At the end of the course it is expected that the student will be able to develop simple systems by taking account of machine elements.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Theory of the course and examples are taught by presentations. The course is given and solve problems that benefiting from these presentations. It takes in the form of question and answer. It is allowed project-based learning.
