Course Objective

This course aims at enabling the students gain an ability in developing designs at different scales through the integration of knowledge and ability gained in Basic Design course with form, structure, space and urban spatial issues and emphasising the importance of perception within the framework of issues such as spatial reading, interpreting and development of cognitive map.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   At the end of this course, students, will be able to repeat the knowledge and ability of technical drawing in their designs
2   will be able to define the issues of form, structure and space,
3   will be able to illustrate the ability of concrete and abstract thinking,
4   will be able to analyse the built environment
5   will be able to propose alternative solutions through the use of their ability of two and three dimensional perception.

Repeating, Defining and Illustrating will be measured by the evaluation of Homework Assignments and Midterm Examinations.
Analysing and Proposing will be measured by Final Examination.
