Course Objective

This course aims to describe the basic concepts of urban design, explain the techniques necessary to solve the planning and design problems in a slightly sloppy setting within an urban environment. Upon completion of this course the students are expected to develop necessary skills to design a 2 dimensional plan interpret the influence of this two dimensional plans on 3 dimensional real environments.

1   Describe the basic components of urban design, 2   Apply analyses techniques , 3   Interpret basic concepts of urban design in its context, 4   Able to design a two dimensional site plan for a given setting and its three dimensional influence on real settings
