Course Objective

This course intends to give students the knowledge to improve their skills in terms of not only visual, but also oral and written presentation techniques; to support such technical grounds by discussions on the need and consciousness of using these methods; and in light of the ongoing debates in the design world, to consider the guiding roles of urban branding and marketing in architecture, urban design and planning disciplines.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To have comprehensive knowledge in ways of how creativity can be applied holistically in design
2   To describe the design principles as the main component of the design process
3   To interpret the different design approaches and their implications on different presentation means
4   To attain a criticizing, yet consistent look at different components of design
5   To evaluate his/her own skills in presentation in front of a group
