Course Objective

This course aims to give the students the ability to imterpret formal, functional and structural relationships in the context of environmental datas at an urban scale.
It is expected that the design projects should be interpreted by having regard to the notion of "publicity", which is one of the most important concepts that the course deals with, and should contend with complex urban problems such as different users, density of experience, complex functions, and upper scale urban decisions.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Demonstrate having adequate knowledge and skills to create quality environments at an urban scale.
2   Demonstrate an understanding of the contemporary contexts in the field of architecture.
3   Demonstrate an understanding of site analysis.
4   Demonstrate an understanding of design thinking as responsive to and shaper of social and cultural context.
5   Visually communicate architectural concepts and design intent using discipline-specific techniques.
