Course Objective

This course aims to provide guidance for students to allow them to understand the importance of leadership characteristics and skills required in nursing in the world and in our country, get to know himself or herself in this respect and develop leadership skills to give direction to change in his or her professional life.

1   The student understands the role of the leader in shaping the future.
2   The student can associate leadership styles with characteristics of followers.
3   The student develop strategies to improve his or her leadership skills.
4   The student can associate the leadership skills that he or she learned with professional problems.
5   The student can analyze the effects of leadership styles on followers.
6   The student can associate excellence and leadership.
7   The student can critically evaluate existing leadership practices in nursing.
8   The student can make plans in which he or she can use leadership skills to solve professional problems.

Assessment Criteria


The semester grade shall be calculated by taking 60% of the intra-semester grade and will 40% of the final grade.

Semester Grade: 60% intra-semester grade (30 of 1st Midterm Exam + 30% of 2nd Midterm Exam) + 40% final grade
