Course Objective

The aim of this course is to inform students about structure, nomenclature, reactions and synthesis of heterocyclic compounds.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Have information about structure and classification of heterocyclic compounds.
2   Have information about reactions and synthesis of heterocyclic compounds
3   Be able to understand structure, nomenclature, reactions and synthesis of five-and six-membered compounds having one heteroatom
4   Be able to understand structure, nomenclature, reactions and synthesis of five-and six-membered compounds having two or more heteroatoms
5   Be able to identify substances containing heterocyclic system which have both biological activity and technological importance
