Course Objective

In this course, the role and essentiality of trace elements in various sources and analytical methods for the determination of trace elements will be disscussed and explained in details.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to explain importance of trace elements, sampling, sample preparation and preconcentration and analytical methods.
2   To be able to propose an analytical procedure for different kinds of analytical samples and develop their analytical abilities and discuss your suggestions freely
3   To be able to explain the developing methods for trace metal analysis in biological and environmental samples and evaluate the results obtained.
4   To be able plan the experimental procedure for separation and preconcentration for trace metals and evaluated the results obtained.
5   To be able to explain sampling and sample preparation, techniques and instrumentation used for separation and preconcentration of metal ions in various samples.
