Course Objective

In recent years, inorganic chemistry has experienced an impressive development. Academic and industrial research in inorganic chemistry is flourishing, and the output of research papers and reviews is growing exponentially. The content of this lecture, which encompasses the chemistry of all of the chemical elements and their compounds, including interpretative discussion in the light of the latest advances in structural and organometallic chemistry, general valence theory, particularly, ligand field theory and molecular orbital theory, provides a reasonable knowledge for postgraduates.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To gain the ability to make an interaction on national and international levels in order to foster chemistry education.
2   To have the ability to follow latest developments in the field, to improve current information and to propose new ideas and methods for researches.
3   To be able to make research collaborations by using student exchange programs.
4   To have the consciousness of professional responsibility and to have problem-solving ability.
