Course Objective

Course deals with construction processes, building production systems, performance standards, interrelations of structural elements and constructional components. Number of users and occupied area relations as mathematical approach of this problem is formulated using statistical methods. Structural and constructional component of building and their using in construction process will be dealt.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Recognizing the number of users and occupied area relations as mathematical approach of this problem is formulated using statistical methods.
2   Analyzing the building production systems and their performance standards.
3   Analyzing the relationship between structural system elements and building components.
4   Analyzing the structural and constructional component of building and their using in construction process will be deal.
5   Analyzing the morphology of components will be considered according to different conditions.
6   Being capable of monitoring technological developments in the construction industry

Course Policies and Rules

This is a course relying on individual research and group discussion of them in the classroom. Each student chooses a topic and works separately but all members of the class take part in the weekly discussion sessions. During the class each student are going to design a term project based on industrialized building systems.
