Course Objective

This is an advanced course on databases focusing on managing data about time, i.e., on the development of objects over time. The Temporal Information Systems (TIS) will cover analysing temporal aspects of data in the context of data stream management and managing the development of the database itself over time.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Learn how time varient objects are handeled in databases.
2   Learn how SOL handles time.
3   Model time variant objects in databases.
4   Realize Data Stream Management.
