Course Objective

To make introduction about CIE5053 Traffic I and CIE5054 Traffic II lessons of transportation master program and give information about traffic surveys and some evaluation methods, As part of the Traffic Flow Theory course CIE6005 which constitute the particular theories used today by examining the basics of traffic engineering methods, it is aimed to obtain detailed information about in mathematical models which have an important role especially on traffic engineering for students.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to collect traffic flow data
2   To be able to calculate the characteristics of traffic flow elements
3   To be able to analyze a transportation facility (road segment, intersection etc.) from different points of view
4   To be able to interpret the problems of a highway segment/intersection
5   To be able to report and present the related calculations and discussions
