Course Objective

to discuss the tectonic proccesses controling formation of the sedimentary basins and role of these processes in plate tectonics concept

1   able to know processes of plate tectonics
2   able to know different kind of sedimentary basins in frame of plate tectonics
3   able to know stratigraphic, sedminetologc and geometrical characteristics of the sedimentary basins formed in different tectonic settings
4   able to understand 3D geometry of sedimentary basins
5   able to define how the basin fills were controlled by tectonic proccesses
6   based on the characteristics of the sedimentary fill, able to make approachs about tectonic setting
