Course Objective

Calculation of the characteristic size of the elements of suspension systems for passenger cars (constant and independent suspension systems, springs and dampers), steering system and tires and to show how to make strength calculations of these parts.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To define a classify pneumatic rubber tires and components
2   Students will be able to interpret and explain with principles of vehicle dynamics.
3   Students will be able to apply and develop suspension systems systems to designed vehicle.
4   To analyze design parameters and questioning steering systems in a designed vehicle.
5   At the end of the module, students will be expected to judge while gaining to interpret and criticize to steering and safety systems of vehicles used in the automotive sector.
