Course Objective

This course aims at giving, graduate students some more knowledge in textile mechanisms so that they can be able to appreciate the finer points of them and also they can be able to
tackle more complicated engineering problems.

1   Having knowledge on definitions, types and elements of mechanisms
2   Identfying mechanisms used in the textile machinery
3   Analyzing the movement position, velocity and accelaration of the mechanisms
4   Ability to use the mechanisms for different applicaitons and solutions where needed
5   Designing mechanisims for different applications for textiles

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The course is taught in a lecture, class presentation and discussion format. All class members are expected to attend and both the lecture and seminar hours and take part in the discussion sessions. Besides the taught lecture, group presentations are prepared by the groups and assigned for the week and presented to open a discussion session.
