Course Objective

The course aims to provide knowledge about enzyme chemistry and enzyme processes in textile industry.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   This course is expected to help the student to define the textile enzymes, enzyme chemical structure and their classification.
2   To interpret the relationships between textile enzymes and textile materials.
3   To understand the effectsof the mechanism of textile enzymes and their chemical receipts.
4   To criticize the testing of enzyme treated textile materials.
5   To interpret the relationships between enzymes and environment.

7 Use of enzymes in removal process of peroxide in textile materials
8 Use of enzymes in enzymatic treatment of denim garments
9 Midterm exam
10 Use of enzymes in enzymatic treatments of wool fabric
11 Use of enzymes in degumming process
12 Use of enzymes in degumming of silk fibers
