Course Objective

Comprehending Geographical Information System, City Information System and other
information systems related with spatial data. Teaching and implementing the Geographical Information System, which is one of the essential parts of urban design and city planning process. For this aim, collecting spatial data related with urban area, saving into databases, editing spatial data, creating attribute and spatial queries, using variable statistical tools, crating thematic maps; Creating three dimensioned topography models; creating different analysis maps related with slope (view shield, slope etc.) Creating virtual city models with topography model. Preparing presentation and layouts showing virtual city model.
