Course Objective

This course aims at defining land use types, presenting urban theories with the circumstances under which they have developed, getting to comprehend actual understanding of the urban, interpreting the sectoral behaviour of the city, analysing the relationships between sectors and the city, proposing a normative sectoral planning system and revising the actual accounts.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   At the end of this course, students, will be able to define land use types (Knowledge),
2   will be able to list urban theories historically (Knowledge),
3   will be able to describe new understandings of the urban (Comprehension),
4   will be able to interprete the different sectors of the city (Application),
5   will be able to relate sectors to the city (Analysis),
6   will be able to propose a normative sectoral planning (Synthesis),
7   will be able to revise the actual sectoral planning (Evaluation).

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

This course will be given through lectures. Students will learn topics by attending and listening the lectures. Homeworks will be given to students in 7th Week and they will be asked to prepare their homeworks on the subjects given to them.
