Course Objective

This course aims to, understanding the structure of urban and society, Readings society, socialization, political cultural stance with based on space. Assesment of
globalization and the changing spatial and social structures and the relationship between society and identitiy.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

Course Contents

1 Defining sociological point of view, overview to theories of sociology
2 critical approaches to classical social theories
3 Examination of modern social theories and different views of sociology schools on the phenomenon of urban and society
4 Examination of the effects of socialization processes in models of rational society Homework topics will be handed out in this week
5 Describe, the dominant determinant on the accumulation of space, production processes, editing styles which represents the unfolding scheme on modern societies
6 Theoretical frameworks that define the phenomenon of urban and urbanization and ve overview of the new conceptualizations of social sciences, shaped by changes in the last period
7 Scheme for the spatial representation schema of social groups and classes and examine the processes of change
8 Changing the subject's re-structured and structured as a field in the cities and urban structures, institutions and processes will be discussed
9 Identity and changes in terms of social and spatial processes
10 Changing social relations and restructuring of urban networks of relations
11 Evaluation of the relationship between strategic expansions of the identity and urban spaces
12 overall evaluation of planning with required to look at the unfolding of sociological understandings
13 Homework/Submission/Presentation Students will be required to submit their homeworks and present their studies briefly to each other in this week.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

This course will be given through lectures. Students will learn topics by attending and listening the lectures. Homeworks will be given to students in 4th Week and they will be asked to prepare their homeworks on the subjects given to them.
