Course Objective |
This course aims to provide students who have knowledge about strength of materials, with theoretical knowledge so that they can analyze continuous beams and plates that form the vast majority of the ship building structures, and to introduce current instruments necessary to realize above mentioned analyses. |

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods |
Course shall be taught in the form of lecturing in class and applications based in problem solving. Course works given in the beginning of the semester shall be done by computer-based methods, and these course works shall be subjected to evaluation in terms of presentation performance and accuracy of content. |

Even though attendance of the student to each course is expected, compulsory attendance is 70%. .Attendance will be taken at the beginning of the each class. Plagiarism: Plagiarism will be reported to Academic Judiciary Board and can result in getting zero on the assignements / exams and failing course. Late assignement: All assignements are due at the beginning of the class. The extentions will not be garnted. Accommodations: Students are required to let the instructor know any special accommodation needed due to learning disabilities, medical needs, etc. |
