Course Objective

Designing organizations to effectively manage new technologies, structures, and people in changing global contexts is becoming more important day by day. In the context of this course information about the traditional and modern management conceptions and organizational structures will be given.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Identify the fundamental concepts of management, organizational structure, and management functions
2   Explain classic and modern management models and practices
3   Understanding of the role of management, and what the day to day dynamics of managerial work are
4   Develop an awareness of how individual managerial decisions affect the total organization and its environment
5   Explore the issues managers will face in the twenty first century, and the challenges of doing business globally in today s world
6   To take notice of social responsibility and business ethics
