Course Objective

The objectives of the course are to introduce data acquisition and signal processing systems and the students who takes this course will be familiar with the basics of the electrical measurements and related statistical concepts; the types of signals, time domain and frequency domain signal processing methods. Also, digital signals processing systems will be demonstrated. Another objective is to gain ability to simulate digital systems in computer.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The students are expected to learn basics of electrical measurements
2   The students are expected to understand types of signals and their properties
3   The students are expected to learn to analyze signals in frequency and in z-domain
4   The students are expected to gain skills to prepare a digital signal processing project
5   The students are expected to gain skills to present their projects in both oral and written fashion
