PROFESSOR LEMAN TARHAN

Offered to

Ph.D. in Biotechnology
BIOTECHNOLOGY

Course Objective

In recent years some organic, inorganic nanoparticles and oxides were used in the treatment of industrial wastewaters, polluted soils and drinking wastewaters. In the framework of this course the nonotechnologic methods, the treatment mechanisms and the ecotoxicological effects of these methods will be discussed.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To understand what the solid state fermentation and its basics, advantages and disadvantages are,
2   To learn how is the modeling of the solid state fermentation,
3   To develop the students analytical abilities,
4   To develop ability to present and criticise knowledge on solid state fermentation,
5   To give students further examples how the enzymes, organic acids, vitamins are produced by this system.
