Course Objective

The main objective of this course is, examine the traditional materials (wood stone, metal, etc.). in contemporary art history from the 1950s to today; within the framework of the direct expression methods to identify material - form -content relationship and to adapt the students to these stages in their work of art. Constitute a high-level knowledge whose benefit to creating individual artistic language and enhance the experience of the application.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to generate knowledge in materials and technical applications in a specialty level
2   To be able to unite his/her aesthetic sensitivity with his/her academic eqipment and increase the level of his/her artistic activities in terms of quality and quantity
3   To be able to gain the artistic attitute that will represent himself/herself in the national/international level in the field of sculpture
4   To be able to describe the advanced knowledge of material and technical equipment in a level that will enable him/her to realize his/her projects
5   To be able to explain his/her artistic preferences he/she uses while realizing his/her projects in an academic level

Each student's artistic choices positioned, directed and selected case studies to delineate examined, researched and discussed their stages of emergence.

1. At the end of the period of the course the students two finished project and their sketches, models, etc. applications are delivered
2. In every period, Students prepare a pre-determined paper and represent it by request
3. Students will ensure all kinds of material that they can use in the project
