Course Objective

Seminars, which explore the evolution and the rise of the graphic storytelling medias such as comics, cartoon and caricature under the socio-economical circumstances of history of civilization.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Exploration the samples of artistic productivity and experimental sensitivity on the course of graphic storytelling history on master s level.
2   To gain master s level knowledge on several fore most illustration and design techniques from development history of graphic storytelling
3   To gain mastery over creative thinking and idea development
4   To become a self imposing, self-reliant, self promoting master creator and entrepreneur
5   To gain knowledge about several illustration techniques on master level
6   To gain expertise on graphic storytelling techniques
7   To focus on a specific illustration technique and gain mastery over it
8   To receive help and advise for career planning for illustrators

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

Participants have to prepare two research papers and a seminar in the context of the course

Assessment Criteria

Participants shall fallow the chronological seminars on history of graphic storytelling and join in-class discussions. On the other hand, the students have to prepare two research papers enriched by strong audio visual resources in single term. Afterwards they chose one of these papers and present the content to undergraduates. Uniqueness, hardworking and participation shall be awarded. To cheat, plagiarism and mockery are absolutely forbidden and shall be heavily punishable by any academic means.
